Doris Byrd Brown
Rincon – Doris Byrd Brown, 80, passed away Monday, July 9, 2012 at Memorial Health.
The Bacon County native was a homemaker whom loved everyone and was affectionately known as "Grandma Dot". She was preceded in death by her parents, Colon Byrd and Effie L. Byrd; husband, George Brown; and daughter, Darlene Zettle.
Survivors include her children, Teresa Vice, Robert Brown, Randy Brown, and Tony Brown all of Rincon; 3 grandchildren, Bruce Sanford, Justin Fail, and Brandi Zettle; and 2 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6 – 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in the chapel.
Graveside services will be 4:30 p.m. Thursday at Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Appling County.
