West Chatham Chapel
Pooler-Mrs. Doris G. Phail, 88, died on Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at Westwood Nursing Home in Evans.
The Chesterfield County, SC native had lived in Chatham County since 1945. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pooler and the Win One Sunday School Class. She retired as a school teacher from the Chatham County Public School System after 28 1/2 years of service. She volunteered at the Pooler Crossroads Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center up until last month and she was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Phail and her daughter, Carolyn Yelton.
Survivors include her granddaughter, Kelli M. Middleton of Augusta; two great-granddaughters, Aubri Caroline Middleton and Joli Amelia Middleton, both of Augusta; three sisters, Mary G. Dunn of Savannah, Dorothy G. Garda of Timonium, MD and Betty G. Millwood of Charleston, SC.
Visitation: 12 - 2 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
Funeral: 2 p.m. on Friday in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery on Dean Forest Road.
