Rincon – Doris J. Springer, 94, passed away Friday, December 19, 2014 at Effingham Extended Care.
The Kansas native was employed at Wal-Mart for over 25 years as a greeter and was affectionately known as the "Harmonica Lady".
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sherman Oliver Johnson and Lula Ruth Hamm; husband, Charles Westover Springer; daughter, Jeanne Collier; sisters, Jeanne, Joann, Shirley, Betty, and Geneva.
Survivors include her children, Jerry Springer of CA, Dean Springer of MN, Ray Springer of CA, and Wayne Springer of Rincon, Coreen Buck of MN, Virginia Rink of CA, Maurine Govey of CA, Kerrie Wilcox of Garden City, and Laurie Bell of Rincon; brother, David Johnson of Marietta; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. in the chapel.
Interment will follow in Rincon Cemetery.
