Doris Switzer
Clyo – Doris Switzer, 83, born on November 2, 1927 in Savannah, GA, passed away Monday, July 18, 2011 at 4:01 p.m. at her home after a long illness.
She was a member of Elam-Egypt Baptist Church and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Minnie Jernigan; sisters, Dorothy Robbins, Lucille Hutchenson, and Grace Rogers; brothers, Roy, Herbert, and Clyde Jernigan; and husband, Junior Marvin Switzer.
Survivors include her sons, Ralph, Allen, and David Switzer; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Nadine Briggs.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Graveside funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Effingham Memorial Gardens.
