Guyton – Doris Jane Wilson Edwards, 88, passed away February 23, 2025 at her residence.

The Effingham County native was a member of Guyton Christian Church.  She was a very giving person, loved cooking for others, and loved by all.  She enjoyed camping and going to the mountains.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence Albert and Jessie Doris Wilson; her husband, Audry Edwards, Sr.; and grandson, Alan Hutcheson, Jr.

Survivors include her children, Sandra Hutcheson (Herbert), Nancy Edwards, and Audry Edwards, Jr.; grandchildren, Amy Wilson (Tony), Shelby Edwards, Harlee Edwards (Donnie), Tyler Linton, and Travis Wiley; great-grandchildren, Chelsea Lane (Parker), Gabriem Britt, Remi Edwards, and Tynlee Lambrix; as well as a lot of family and friends.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, February 27, 2025 at Guyton Christian Church.

Interment will follow in Guyton Cemetery.
