Doris Sweat Windsor

Guyton – Doris Sweat Windsor, 95, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2019 at Effingham Extended Care.

Mrs. Doris was born in Guyton to the late William and Dora Sweat.   She was also preceded in death by her husband, Col. David W. Windsor, USAF, and both of her sons, 1LT David W. Windsor, Jr., USMC, and Philip C. Windsor.  She was a member of the Guyton United Methodist Church where she attended the Irene Stewart Sunday School Class and she was a member of the Guyton Women's Club.

Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Nancy T. Windsor; grandsons, David Windsor (DeAnna) and Dan Windsor; great-grandsons, David Windsor, II , Kaleb Windsor, Ian Windsor, and Caine Windsor; sister, Miriam Sweat Griffin; a number of nieces and nephews, including special nephews, Fred Griffin (Claudette) and William Griffin (Sandy).

Graveside funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, May 10, 2019 at Guyton Cemetery.
