Mrs. Dorothy Faye Chester Johnson, 73, of Guyton, passed away on Friday, October 6, 2017 at Hospice Savannah.
Mrs. Dorothy was born in Candler County to the late Buddie & Helen Virginia Chester. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Bobby Green Johnson, and siblings, Mary Francis Young, Thomas Chester, Diane Chester, Robert Chester, and Donald Chester. She was of the Baptist faith. She had retired from Bank of America, First Chatham Bank, as well as radio station WJCL/WTGS.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Bobby Eugene & Annmarie Johnson; grandchildren, Bethany Duval, Dianne Gaskins, Simon Duval, and Johanna Duval; five great-grandchildren; siblings, Kaye Goff, Gail Russell, Brenda Kersey, and Karen Chester, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 5-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Effingham Memorial Gardens.
