Dorothy Jones Murray
Guyton - Dorothy Jones Murray, 85, died Thursday, March 1, 2007 at Effingham
Extended Care Facility.
The Screven County native was a member of Sand Hill Baptist Church and retired from
the garment factory. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Dell Murray,
Sr., and sons, Gary Elmo Murray and William Dell Murray, Jr.
Survivors include her daughter, Diane Hensley of Guyton; 3 sons and a daughter-in-law,
David and Gail Murray of Guyton, Donnie Murray of Tybee Island, and Bobby Murray of
Guyton; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters-in-law, Lucille Hunter of
Savannah, Catherine Jones of Decatur, and Margaret Murray of Garden City; and a
number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday in the chapel.
Interment will be in Marlow Cemetery.
Remembrances may be given to American Cancer Society, 1930 Springfield-Egypt Rd.,
Springfield, GA 31329.
