Obituary
Guyton-Mrs. Dorothy Howard Pittman, 83, passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at Candler Hospital.
Mrs. Dorothy was born in Statesboro to the late John Grover & Ila Ree Howard. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Waldo Floyd Pittman. She was a member of Countryside Baptist Church, enjoyed crocheting and gardening. She gave her life to her family in the home, and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Dennis Pittman, Gail Pittman Taylor, Jean Pittman Edenfield, and Kim Pittman; 7 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be on Monday from 1 until 2:30 p.m. with the funeral to follow at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will follow at Effingham Memorial Gardens.
