Dottie Taylor Edge, 64, of Statesboro, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2025 at her home.
Dottie was born in Savannah, Georgia and was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Taylor and Marlene Nelson Taylor, as well as a brother, Frank Taylor. She had worked as a special education teacher in the Bulloch County school system, but spent the majority of her life as a devoted house wife and grandmother. She was a member of Grace Community Church in Statesboro. She enjoyed the outdoors and traveling, especially to St. Augustine, Florida during the Christmas season. She will be missed by her husband, children, and grandchildren, all whom she loved so much.
Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Ronald Edge; son, Shaun Edge (Melissa); daughter, Ashleigh Brown; grandchildren, Daulton Brown, Thomas Edge, Seth Brown, Taylor Edge, and Ahnaka Brown; brother, Tim Taylor, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
The funeral to honor Dottie's life will be on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Mike Holt officiating and pallbearers were Ronny Graham, Aden Taylor, Kenny Edge, Matt Harville, Ryan Lee and Kent Taylor. Burial will follow at Guyton Cemetery.
