Pooler-Mr. Doy Eustace Conaway, 82, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Hospice Savannah.
Doy was born in Marlow to the late Wesley & Ruth Conaway. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Wingate Conaway, and two brothers, Noel C. Conaway, and Paul W. Conaway. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, and served his country in the U.S. Army. He retired from Chevron U.S.A., and served as a Pooler City Alderman from 1982-1984. He was a member of the Antique Car Club of America, the Mustang Car Club, and he enjoyed boating, camping, fishing, and water skiing.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Kerry & Beth Conaway; two grandsons, Kyle Wingate Conaway and Evan Paul Conaway, and several nephews.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
