Springfield – E. Arnold Skinner, 79, passed away November 12, 2021 at Hospice of Savannah Facility on Eisenhower Drive, with his family around him.
He was born in Sylvania, Georgia to Lovett Cuthbert Skinner and Eliza Mae Smith Skinner of Hiltonia, Georgia, on September 18, 1942. He is pre-deceased by his parents and his brother, Lovett Skinner of Yuma, Arizona, his four sisters, Nellie Counts and Ellen Owens of Sylvania, Georgia, Nira Chance of Millen, Georgia, and Sara Thompson of Springfield, Georgia.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Springfield, Georgia, and a past Sunday School Teacher and Deacon.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Diane Harper Skinner, his two sons, Ellis (Shannon) Skinner and J. Ashley Skinner (fiancé, Ashley Crawley), three grandchildren, Christopher Oliver, Ansley Skinner, and Bricelyn Skinner of Springfield, Georgia, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Strickland Funeral Home on Highway 21, Rincon, Georgia from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, November 14, 2021.
Brother Eric Green, Pastor of First Baptist Church of Springfield will officiate the graveside service at Fellowship Bible Church Cemetery on Old Dixie Highway, Springfield, Georgia at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 15, 2021.
In lieu of flowers remembrances may be given to First Baptist Church of Springfield Benevolent Fund, 1435 Hwy. 119 N., Springfield, Georgia 31329.
