Earl Lamar Knabb "Neighbor Knabb"
Pooler-Mr. Earl Lamar Knabb, 84, died Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at his home.
The Cobbtown, GA native was a US Navy veteran, having served in both Laos and Korea. He served 21 years in the Navy and 21 years with the Savannah Police Department. Mr. Knabb was a free mason. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack & Elizabeth Knabb; sons, Kenny, Wayne, and Alan Knabb; and brothers, Jerome, Calvin, Heyward Knabb.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, JoAnn Knabb; a brother, Nathaniel Knabb (Janelle); a sister, Karen Hodges (Robert); two grandsons, Michael Knabb (Shannon) and Jeremy Knabb (Melissa); a great-grandson, Zachary Knabb; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service: 2 pm Thursday, August 1 at Faulkville Baptist Church, 144 Zeigler Rd., Bloomingdale, GA 31302.
