William Edward "Ed" Roberts

Clyo- William Edward "Ed" Roberts, 61, died Saturday, April 21, 2012 at his residence.

The Chatham County native was the owner/operator of Roberts' Express Delivery Service. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Springfield, where he led the music for the early morning service. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother, who devoted his life to his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucille and Jesse Roberts; and his sister, Frances Roberts Williams.

Survivors include his wife, Kathryn "Kaellen" Hays Roberts of Clyo; three daughters and sons-in-law, Lori and Jason Hinely of Savannah, Rachel and Chris Thompson of Guyton, and Stephanie and Ira Dickerson of Clyo; a brother and sister-in-law, Jesse and Wynonna Roberts of Eatonton; four grandchildren, Amber Hinely, Katy Grace Thompson, Hayley and Will Dickerson; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 1-2 pm Sunday, April 22, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Springfield.

Funeral: 2 pm Sunday, April 22, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Springfield.

Interment: Forest Lawn Memory Gardens
