Eddie Joe Wampler, 63, of Pooler, Georgia, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2023 at St. Joseph's Hospital.

Eddie was born in Wise County, Virginia to the late Charles Ransom Wampler and Thelma "Marie" Kilgore Wampler.  He was also preceded in death by a sister, Vina Emerson, and three brothers, Richard Wampler, Billy Wampler, and Wade Wampler.  Eddie was a proud soldier having served his country in the United States Army.  He was honorably discharged after being injured during the Desert Storm War.  He had been employed with TISA at Fort Stewart.  He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.   He will be remembered for being a jokester, but most of all, for loving his family.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Monteene Carol Wampler; daughter, Natasha M. Lewis (Joshua); grandson, Maverick Alexander Lewis; brothers, James Wampler, John Wampler, and Carl Wampler; extended family, Mark Wightman (Chrishelle) and Kristy Lawson; brother-in-law, Robert Orr (Brenda); sister-in-law, Kathy Henderson; and a number of nieces and nephews, as well as his fur babies, Kane and Missy.

The family will be having a private memorial service to honor Eddie's life.
