Pooler-Mr. Edgar Marvel Duncan, 83, passed away on Monday, March 20, 2017 at his home.
Edgar was born in Poplarville, Mississippi on February 3, 1934. He was a Vietnam Veteran, having retired from the United States Army after 25 years of service. He settled in Pooler in 1980 with his wife, Young Ae Duncan, who preceded him in death on May 27, 2015.
He is survived by his sons, Ellis M. Duncan and Robbie Joe Duncan; grandchildren, Ellis Mike Duncan, Jr., Esther Marie Duncan, Edwin Marcus Duncan, Matthew Caelan Duncan, and Mark Duncan.
The visitation will be on Monday from 10:30 until 11:30 a.m. at the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home located at 901 W. Hwy. 80 in Pooler. The funeral will follow at 1 p.m. at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel located at 8819 U.S. Hwy. 301, Glennville, GA.
