Ms. Edna Grizzard Yancey passed away on Friday, November 22, 2019 at Syl-View Nursing Home in Sylvania.

She was born in Chatham County to the late Alex William & Nella Davis Grizzard.  She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Catherine Michelle Henderson; brothers, Joseph William Grizzard, Raymond Melvin Grizzard and Prentice Lamar Grizzard.  She had been a waitress at Carey Hilliard's Restaurant for 23 years.

Survivors include her sons, Micheal Henderson, Joseph Kenny and Stephen Kenny; brother, David Everette Grizzard; sisters, Patricia Gail Holton and Margie Dale Ray, as well as a number of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The graveside funeral and burial will be at 1 p.m. on Monday, November 25, 2019 at Bethel Cemetery on Little Neck Road in Chatham County with Pastor Terrell Hopkins officiating.
