Edward J. Davy Sr

Edward J. Davy Sr, 86, formerly of Cranston, Rhode Island passed away peacefully Monday, January 18, 2021 in Savannah, Georgia. Originally from Providence, Rhode Island he was the son of the late Clarence and Alice Davy.

After serving in the Air Force, Ed as he was called, was employed by New England Telephone Company for most of his adult life. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America volunteer group. After retiring, Ed and his wife Phyllis took their adventurous spirit on the road in a motorhome. They traveled from coast to coast, north to south including all the provinces in Canada, and also Alaska long before the Alaskan roads were paved. His sense of humor and generous soul will live on forever in his friends and children's hearts.

Ed leaves his high school sweetheart and wife of 64 years Phyllis, his three daughters, Cindy and her husband Jim of Charlotte, NC; Cathy of Cranston, RI; Susan and her husband Charlie of Fort Mill, SC; two sons, Edward Jr and wife Lynn of Guyton, GA and David and his wife Melissa of North Kingstown, RI. He also leaves behind eight beautiful grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sisters Jerry Meeker and Shirley Morrison.

Services will be held at a later date in Providence, RI.
