Springfield – Edward W. Pace, 73, passed away January 31, 2023 at Memorial Health.

The Effingham County native retired from Windstream after over 40 years of service, enjoyed woodworking, and fixing things.  He served in the U.S. Army Reserves and was a member of Springfield Oaks Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George Russell Pace and Dorothy Ruth Scott Pace.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Wilma Pace; daughter, Jessica Brown (Daniel); granddaughter, Joli Sharpley; sister, Renee P. Edwards; brother, Charles Pace (Patricia); nephews, Chad Pace (Amber), Craig Pace (Casey), and Chris Pace (Tesh); niece, Jenna Edwards; and several great-nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, February 4, 2023 at the funeral home followed by funeral services at 3 p.m. in the chapel.

Interment will follow in The Church At Turkey Branch Cemetery.
