Springfield – Edward R. Shuman, Jr., 80, passed away November 14, 2020 at East GA Regional.

The Bryan County native was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, Clyo Masonic Lodge #280, and was a Alee Shriner. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a retired truck driver.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Rudolph Shuman, Sr. and Addie Mae Driggers; wife, Mary Louise Weitman Shuman; siblings, Doris Lovell, Thelma Randall, Elvie Wilson, and Lewis Shuman.

Survivors include his daughters, Michelle Kellar and Terri Johnson (Craig); grandchildren, Brandi Selling, Blake Johnson, Brooke Johnson, and Breanna Johnson; great-grandson, Memphis Selling; sister, Margaret Widener (Wallis); sister-in-law, Nell Nease (Henry); and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Bethel Lutheran Church.

Graveside services will follow at 11 a.m. at Bethel Lutheran Church Cemetery.
