Savannah-Mr. Edward Swearingain, 79, passed away after a long illness on Friday, October 26, 2012 at his home.
Edward was a local businessman for over 40 years. He retired from the U.S. Army after 21 years of service. He has gone to be with his daughter, Estelle, grandchildren, Christina and Jeremy and son-in-law, Michael.
He leaves behind his wife of 62 years, Estle Swearingain; sons, John Swearingain and David Swearingain; daughter, Linda Sellers; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Monday in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
