Rincon – Elgie Tim Thompson, 66, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at Candler Hospital.
The Evans County native retired from A.P.A.C. Construction after 42 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elgie J. and Sula Caroline Deloach Thompson; and sister, Caroline Todd.
Survivors include his wife, Connie Thompson of Aiken, SC; children, Tammy Minus, Terri (Ron) Bell, Timothy Thompson, Jennifer (Gary) Kippert, Pamela Thompson, and Cristina (Bradford) Reddick; grandchildren, Charles Minus, Scott Thompson, Rebecca Dixon, Jessica Thigpen, Corey Bell, Timothy and Maranda Thompson, Tyler and Casey Kippert, and Cayden Reddick; step-son, Ben Whittle; 8 great-grandchildren; siblings, Brenda Sapp, Bennie Threatte, Jean Moore, Glenda Anderson, and Harold Thompson; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be 3:30 p.m. Saturday in the chapel.
Interment will follow in Effingham Memorial Gardens.
