Obituary
Bloomingdale-Mrs. Elise Knight Sweatt, 89, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2014 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
Mrs. Elise was born in Savannah to the late Joseph Bernard Knight and Jeannette DeLoach Knight. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Walter A. Sweatt. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. She was an avid reader, a great cook, a super mom and a great mother-in-law.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Warren A. Sweatt, Gregory A. & Anne Sweatt, and William L. & Ellen Sweatt; daughters, Janet & Brantley Webb, Donna & Webb Jones, and Lisa & Michael Shuman; grandchildren, Gerald Sweatt, Derald Sweatt, Christi Bergmann, Glenn Sweatt, Mark Sweatt, Elise Martin, Damon Webb, Alissa Hull, Jason, Anthony & Amanda Shuman; 29 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. on Friday in the chapel of the funeral home with the burial to follow at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
