Elizabeth Cato Albers
Rincon – Elizabeth Cato Albers, 94, passed away October 2, 2017 at her residence.
Born October 15, 1922 in Jefferson County to the late Esther Mathis and James Clarence Cato. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John A. Albers, Sr.; and son, John A. Albers, Jr. She was a retired educator and librarian for many years in the Effingham County School System. She was a graduate of GA Southern University with a Master's in Library Science from Emory. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Rincon.
She is survived by a son, James Clarence Albers; sister, Alma Cato; and granddaughter, Nancy Albers Shore (Tobin) of Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home followed by funeral services at 10 a.m. in the chapel.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Beaufort National Cemetery.
Remembrances may be given to First Baptist Church of Rincon, 201 East Sixth Street, Rincon, GA 31326.
