Mrs. Elizabeth Pittman
Rincon- Mrs. Elizabeth Pittman "Sis Crawford", 87, of Rincon, GA, wife of the late Ernie Pittman, passed away on October 14, 2015 at her home after a brief illness.
The Coward, SC native was born in Florence County on September 19, 1928. She moved to Rincon in 1963. Mrs. Pittman was a member of North Salem Baptist Church for over 50 years, but often attended Rincon First Christian Church with her daughters. She was a member of the Oldest Sunday School Class and in her younger years was a Sunday School Teacher. Yard work was her passion, along with baking multi-layered cakes for her family and friends. She enjoyed WMU Ladies and Young at Heart Groups.
Mrs. Pittman was preceded in death by her parents, John Adger & Carrie Matthews Crawford; her husband, Ernie Pittman; 4 sisters; and 7 brothers.
Survivors: daughters, Sandra Parker (Ricky) of Rincon and Brenda Leggett (Grayson Swinson) of Richland, NC; son, Bruce Edwards (Pansy) of Guyton; brothers, Bill Crawford of Cumming, GA, Kenneth Crawford (Patricia) of Ladson, SC, and Marion Crawford (Lola) of Coward, SC; six grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and several special nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 6-8 pm Friday, October 16, 2015 in the funeral home.
Funeral: 3 pm Saturday, October 17, 2015 in the funeral home chapel.
Interment: Goshen United Methodist Church Cemetery
