Mrs. Ella R. "Betty" Taylor, 95, of Bloomingdale, GA, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at her home.

Betty was born in Savannah, GA to the late Lovick William Shearouse and Annie Eliza Ramsey Shearouse.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, William E. "Bob" Taylor, a daughter, Melissa Ann Taylor, a son, William Edward Taylor, Jr., brothers, Lovick Shearouse and Ishmael Shearouse, and a sister, June Algieri.  She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Bloomingdale where she taught Sunday school up until a few months ago.  She retired from the Bloomingdale Post Office, enjoyed bowling right up until age 93, doing yard work and reading.

Survivors include her children, Drexel Taylor (Jenni), Reba Holland (Jean), and Angelia Jernigan (Mitch); grandchildren, Nicole Webb (Dan), Ryan Taylor (Jessica), Sable Taylor, Jeremy Holland (Sarah), Matthew Holland, and Christopher Holland (Keri); 13 great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be on Sunday, May 29, 2022 from 1 until 2:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Bloomingdale.  The funeral will follow in the sanctuary at 2:30 p.m. with burial to follow at the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery.  Rev. Steve Blake and Rev. Darrell Bailey will officiate.  The pallbearers will be Ryan Taylor, Jeremy Holland, Matthew Holland, Christopher Holland, Dan Webb, Curran Webb, and Conner Edwards.
