Guyton – Ellen Helmey Danker, 97, passed away March 19, 2021 at Effingham Hospital.

The Effingham County native was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and was a retired Postmaster.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Ward Leroy Helmey and Emma Fetzer Helmey; husband, Eugene Vernon Danker; siblings, Leroy, Ralph, Harley, Walton, George, Jack, Clifford, Hilda, and Minnie Lee.

Survivors include her children, Anthony Danker of Cathlamet, WA, Lucille Leckman of Duluth, MN, and Vernon Danker of Guyton; 4 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Bessie Studier; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 17, 2021 with memorial services following at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
