Elliott M. Woods
Guyton – Elliott M. Woods, 83, passed away April 25, 2017 at his residence.
The Effingham County native was a member of Sand Hill Baptist Church, a retired Truck Driver, and a U.S. Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joshua B. Woods, Sr. and Louise C. Woods; wife, Martha Woods; brothers, Raymond "Soc" Woods and Sonny Woods; son-in-law, E.J. Cook.
Survivors include his children, Belinda Cook, Tina (Gary) Eason, Tony Woods, Bertie (James) Ray, and Charlotte Pemberton; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Linda Ratliff and Helen Youngblood; 1 brother, Jack Woods; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Sand Hill Baptist Church.
Interment will follow in Woods Family Cemetery.
Remembrances may be given to Islands Hospice, 3 W. Perry St., Savannah, GA 31401.
