Mrs. Eloise Lariscy Herrin born December 16, 1941 went home to be with the Lord on May 6, 2026. She passed peacefully in her sleep under hospice care at Effingham Care and Rehab Center.
Eloise is survived by her twin sister, Elise Lariscy Ellis (Bill); grandchildren, David Collins, Becky Johnston (Randall), Corey Ham (Megan), and Ashley Ham (Jason); nieces and nephews, Lisa Donella Aegan (Kenny), Susan Camille Williams (Charles), Kelly Elise Donaldson (Steve), and Jennifer Nicole Kearney, as well as a number of great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Louella Palmer Lariscy; father, Sollie Lariscy; sister, Mary Jeanette Kearney; sons, Aaron Curtis Herrin and David Edward Herrin; daughter, Mona Jeanette Collins. She was a fierce soul winner for Jesus and was not afraid to share the gospel with anyone. She loved the Lord, her family, and her friends. She was one who would put pen to paper, leaving behind notes and letters for longevity. She loved animals and was partial to miniature poodles. Her recent dogs were Pepe, Bear and Max. She was married to Elbert Aaron (“A”) Herrin at the young age of fifteen. He was in the U.S. Air Force, and they were stationed in Fort Worth, Texas, Anchorage, Alaska, and Dayton, Ohio. He went overseas to Thailand and the Philippines before retiring as Senior Master Sergeant. They divorced and she moved back to Georgia and went to work at Gulfstream Aerospace. She retired from there after 27 years of service. She shared a special unbreakable bond with her twin Elise, and sister Jenny, she will be missed terribly until we meet again in Glory.
The visitation will be on Friday, May 8, 2026 from 12 noon until 2 p.m. at the funeral home. The funeral to honor Eloise’s life will follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Corinth-Leefield Cemetery.
