Port Wentworth, Mrs. Eloise B. Woods, 76, passed away April 13, 2023, at home with family at her side.

Mrs. Eloise was the previous owner and operator of Woods Seafood and was a member of LifeSpring Worship Center.  She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Virginia Bragg; husband, James H. Woods; son, Charles Ray Turnbow; grandson, Little James Turnbow; siblings, Betty Simmons, Carson Bragg, Patricia Finch and Rosie Hutchinson.

She is survived by her children, George Ray Turnbow (Kay Cox), Tim Turnbow (Sonya), and Tina Newman (Spike); grandchildren, Tiffany, Jessica and George Turnbow, Preston and Brandon Turnbow, Richard Walls, Holly Walls, Kristina Yates, Lauren Birchfield, Cory Steedly, Little Charlie Turnbow, Justin, Stephen, and Christopher Dampier, Michael Daniels, Tamra Turnbow, Mikaela Turnbow, David Turnbow, Courtney Newman (Mitchell), Kaylee Newman (Theron), Samara Newman and Preston Newman; great-grandchildren, Khloe Arnold, Greyson Pickard,  Gracie Turnbow, and Ryder James Turnbow, Josie Warren, Raelynn Jordan, Lane Hurbert, and Eason Hurbert; and several nieces and nephews.

A vistation service will be held on Monday, April 17, 2023, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.  The funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Effingham Memorial Gardens in Springfield, GA.
