Mrs. Elouise M. Cela, 82, of Garden City, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2020.

She was born in Chatham County to the late James Gilbert & Minnie Bashlor.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Gaetano Cela, and her son, Ricky Cela.  She was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church, attended Garden City Senior Citizens, enjoyed playing cards and traveling.

Survivors include her daughter, Penny Branch; grandchildren, Clark Gaetano Cela, Nicholas Cela, and Benjamin Cela; great-grandchildren, Tanner and Tucker Cela; brother, Jimmy Bashlor.

The graveside funeral and burial will be on Wednesday, May 6 ^th at 2 p.m. at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery located at 1336 Dean Forest Road in Garden City with Rev. Gary Johnson officiating.  All CDC and social distancing guidelines will be in place.
