Obituary
Garden City-Mr. Elton H. Riley, 86, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2011.
Mr. Elton was born in Lula, GA to the late Harvey Henry Riley & Mae Bryant Riley. He was preceded in death by his wife, Inez Curl Riley and a grandson, Christopher Weatherly. He served his country in the U.S. Navy and was the retired owner/operator of Riley's Barber Shop in Port Wentworth. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Garden City where he had taught Sunday school for 22 years, was an active member of the Timothy Sunday School Class and served as a Deacon.
Survivors include his son, Robert H. Riley of Garden City; his daughter, Cathy Riley of Garden City; grandchildren, Kelly Dantis and Justin Riley, both of Savannah; great-grandchildren, Trey Miles, Rebecca Riley and Ava Dantis, all of Savannah.
Visitation: 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery with military honors.
