Emily Martha Osborn, age 42, died in a tragic vehicular accident on Monday, November 27, 2017, in Cumming, GA, just miles from her home. Emily was born in Indiana and in 1985 she moved to Garden City, GA. She was a 1993 graduate of Groves High School and a 2009 graduate of Armstrong Atlantic State University. Emily loved people and people loved her. She was the life of the party and the light of our lives.

Surviving are her son and daughter, Connor Gardner and Loren Henke; mother and stepfather, Frances and David Rasmussen; father and stepmother, Gayle and Kristine Osborn; grandmother, Martha Quinney; sisters Amy (Jason) Gibson (Rory and Jack) and Claire (Corday) Feith (Henry and Dashiell); stepbrothers Dan (Nancy) Rasmussen (Andy and Emily), Jim (Margaret) Rasmussen (Gabe, Sarah and Emma) and Jason Williams; aunts, Rena Osborn (Raemy and Macey) Marcy (Tim) Weber (Ashley & Lindsey) and Linda Osborn; and a legion of friends, so many close to her heart but too numerous to name. She was taken from us too soon but a piece of her lives on in all of us, especially her two children, and her beloved dog Tiberius.

She was a born performer and her happiest moments were spent on the stage. Over the years she performed in various local and college theater productions. She loved to sing, starting at a young age performing with her sisters and continuing through her life. Emily's greatest talent was her ability to make friends. Her warm personality, gorgeous smile and beautiful brown eyes charmed us all and will be sorely missed.

Emily and her children moved to Cumming in 2012 and it was there that she made some of her best and closest friends.

Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday with Celebration of Life services on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel at Thomas C. Strickland and Sons Funeral Home, 901 US-80, Pooler, GA 31322. Internment will follow at Hillcrest Abbey East, 1600 Wheaton Street, Savannah, GA 31404.
