Bloomingdale-Mrs. Emma Lee Lanier, 78, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2012 at her home.
Mrs. Emma was born in Chatham County to the late Andrew L. Clark, Sr. and Emma Lee McRae Clark. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Theda, Rose, Estelle, Veliska and Betty as well as brothers, Jack and Paul. She retired from Belk's Department Store and collected Peanuts characters.
Survivors include her husband, John Irvine Lanier of Bloomingdale; children, L.D. Timberlake of Fleming, Robin Timberlake of Fleming and Robert D. Timberlake of Atlanta; step-children, Sonja Lair, Katherine Moore, Lora Lanier and Nora Lanier, all of Savannah; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren brothers, Andrew L. Clark, Jr. of Guyton and Douglas J. Clark of Ellabell; sister, June Prince of East Ridge, TN and several nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Graveside Funeral and burial will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday at Oak Hill Cemetery located on First Street in Meldrim with Rev. Travis Cowart officiating.
