Obituary

BLOOMINGDALE- Enid Scott Moody, age 84, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. after a long illness. She was the beloved wife of John Karl Moody.
Enid was born in Richmond County in Augusta, Georgia, on June 10, 1928, as the youngest child to the late James A. and Christine W. Scott. She is also preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers. She moved to Chatham County shortly after her marriage to Karl on September 11, 1949, and lived at Monteith, Savannah, Tybee Island, and Garden City before moving to Bloomingdale in 2009.
She graduated from Hephzibah High School and attended Chapel-in-the-Gardens Presbyterian Church. She worked over 29 years in retail clothing and department stores to include Kresses, Hogans, and the Lady Jane Shop. After retirement, Enid became a well-known dispatcher and driver for various car dealers throughout Chatham County.
She was an avid gardener, taking pride in her flower beds and hot-house plants, but her greatest pleasure was her family. She enjoyed cooking for family gatherings and doting over her four cherished grandchildren.
Enid loved people and was a most gracious giver to everyone she met. She will be greatly missed by everyone she loved and everyone who loved her.
Enid is survived by her husband, John Karl Moody, her son, Walter Scott Moody (Michelle) of Bloomingdale; her daughter, Karleen Moody Grevemberg (Vincent) of Savannah; her sister Hilda S. Taylor and her brother Milford A. Scott of Augusta; her grandchildren, Scott, Amanda, Trey, and Tyler; step grandchildren, JP, Hannah, Joshua, and Erin, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
