Eric V. Heidt

Rincon – Eric V. Heidt, 71, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2021 at his home.

The Effingham County native was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. He was a retired educator that taught in Effingham for 30 years and was an avid horseman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul & Daisy Heidt.

He is survived by his wife, Michelle Ogle; step-son, Mikell Ogle; sisters, Marsha Heidt, Paula Wheatley, Sylvia Dressel, Amy Heidt, and Vivian Hines; brothers, Herbert Heidt, Jeff Heidt, Paul Heidt, Jr., and Mark Heidt; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be held at a later date.
