Eric William Uphouse, 59, of Savannah, Georgia, passed away tragically as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on Thursday, October 1, 2026.

Eric will be missed by his wife of eight years, Anita Flanagan Uphouse; children, Veronica Uphouse, Chuck Uphouse (Nikki), Karsten Richmond (Keith), and Cheryl Uphouse; seven grandchildren including Layla and Penelope Hicks; mother, Jessie Uphouse; siblings, Stephen Uphouse (Brenda), Christopher Uphouse (Kathleen), John Uphouse, and Deborah Uphouse; several nieces and nephews, and his beloved dogs, Angus and Phoebe.

Eric was born in Beech Grove, Indiana and was preceded in death by his father, William Uphouse. He served his country in the United States Army, was currently employed at Hunter Army Airfield as a Calibration Technician, and was very patriotic, he loved his country. He had been active in the Riverside Riders while in Illinois and was currently a member of Grace Community Church in Rincon. He enjoyed serving and had a servant’s heart for missions. He was steadfast in his faith in Christ. He enjoyed fishing, building things with his hands, music, and enjoyed a spirited debate, especially engaging people in controversial topics. He will be remembered for being a devoted husband, loving his family, and having a huge personality. He will be missed.

The visitation will be on Thursday, October 8, 2026 from 5 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the funeral home. The memorial service to honor Eric’s life will follow at 6 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Bobby Braswell officiating. Eric will be interred with full military honors at a later date in Illinois.
