Mr. Ernest Wade Scott, 84, of Elkhart Texas, passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Candler Hospital.

He was preceded in death by his wife (Patricia Jean Scott), sister (Carolyn Stanley), sister (Alice Jeffcoat), sister (Mary Collier), sister (Sandra Mack), brother (Jack Scott), brother (Vaughn Scott), grandson (Brandon A. Scott), granddaughter (Peyton C. Scott), granddaughter (Isabelle H. Burford).

Scotty was beloved by all of his family as well as his caretakers. There was never a moment that went by without him going out of his way to make someone smile with a joke. Life threw its share of curveballs, but he truly was the "Toughest tomato on the vine".

Survivors include his son, Anthony D. Scott; son, Russell E. Scott; son, Timothy B. Scott (Lisa); son, Terry J. Denmark (Theresa),  grandchildren, Timothy P. Scott (Selina), Clayton C. Scott (Shannon), Sarah L. Burford (James), Joshua C. Scott (Jenna), Candace Scott (Brandon), Shane Denmark (Leanne), Kurt Denmark (Melanie); great-grandchildren including Bryson, Adam, Sam, Isaac, Brayden, Noah, Addy, Grayson, Zoey, Tucker, Elijah, Serenity, Brantley, Graham, and Bailey; brother, Paul Scott; brother, Roger Scott (Peggy); several nieces and nephews.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 1 p.m. where he will join his bride, Patricia Scott, at the Greenville Memorial Gardens located at 3302 US-25, Hodges, South Carolina 29653.
