Ernest W. "Dick" Ennis

Mr. Ernest W. (Dick) Ennis, 96, of Pooler, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2026.

Dick will be missed by his wife of 69 years, Patricia Ennis; nephews and nieces, Robbie Ennis (Lori) and Lonnie Ennis (Brenda); sister-in-law, Evelyn Malphrus; brother-in-law, Raymond Bazemore, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Jefferson Ennis and Beatrice Britt Ennis; as well as his siblings, Bertha Fahey, Louise Hughes, Tommy Ennis, and Robert H. Ennis. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was the former co-owner/operator of Ennis Auto Top for 28 years. He was the former owner/operator of Ennis Auto Trim in Beaufort, South Carolina, and the former owner/operator of Yellow Cab Company in Beaufort. He was a member of Central Baptist Church, and also served his country in the National Guard for seven years.

The visitation will be on Friday, May 1, 2026 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

The graveside funeral and burial will be on Monday, May 4, 2026 at 2 p.m. at Greenwich Cemetery located at 315 Greenwich Road in Thunderbolt, Georgia with Pastor Steve McCoy officiating.
