Ernestine Green Quinney (Tina) died peacefully on Saturday, April 7, 2007, at. St. Joseph's Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, to which she was extraordinarily devoted. She was born in Swainsboro, Georgia, and was a long-time resident of Pt. Wentworth, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Katie and Sam Green; her husband, Heber Martin Quinney, Jr.; and her son, H. Martin Quinney III. She is survived by a daughter, Delores Q. Smith (Ron) of Richmond, Virginia; three sons: Gary B. Quinney (Sherry) of Richmond Hill, Georgia; Andy E. Quinney (Laura Lee) of Garden City, Georgia; and Michael E. Quinney (Adele) of Pt. Wentworth, Georgia; daughter-in-law Judy Quinney of Guyton, Georgia; nine grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Roy Green of Savannah, and numerous nieces and nephews.



Visitation will be Monday, April 9, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Stickland Funeral Home in Pooler, Georgia. The funeral service will be held at the Pt. Wentworth First Baptist Church on Tuesday, April 10, at 11:00, with pastors Gary Quinney and Sam Self officiating. Burial will be at Bonaventure Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
