Mrs. Esther May Jones, 97, of Pooler, Georgia, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2024.

Esther was born in Sayreton, Alabama and had lived in Pooler for many years.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Jones; her parents, Andrew L. Hathcock and Velma Irene Dean Hathcock; children, Johnnie Mae Yarbrough, Jerry Fennell, and Charlotte Fennell.  She retired from Union Camp Corporation.

Survivors include her children, Shirley Ann Young, Dorothy Fennell, Larry Fennell, Billy Fennell, and Marilyn Brown; a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be on Thursday, December 26, 2024 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

The funeral to honor Esther's life will follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Hillcrest Abbey East Cemtery.
