Mrs. Ethel Roberts Hinely

Port Wentworth-Mrs. Ethel Roberts Hinely, 80, died on Monday, April 9, 2007 at her
home surrounded by her family.

The Chatham County native was a member of the First Baptist Church of Port Wentworth
where she attended the Peacemakers Sunday School Class. She was the former
co-owner/operator of Hinely's Florist and formerly served as secreatary of the District 96
Machinists Union. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. J.W. Roberts, a
daughter, Mary Eileen Hinely, her sister, Mary Ella Roberts and a great-granddaughter,
Kaylee Mae Hinely.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, W.C. "Billy" Hinely of Port Wentworth;
daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Ernie Stanhope of Port Wentworth; two sons and
daughters-in-law, John R. and Leigh Hinely of Pooler and James W. and Christina Hinely
of Elgin, SC; six grandchildren and four great-grandchidren; sister-in-law, Katherine
Hinely of Garden City and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation: 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Funeral: 1 p.m. on Wednesday at the First Baptist Church of Port Wentworth. Mrs.
Hinely will lie in state from 12-1 p.m. at the Church. Burial will follow at Springfield
Cemetery.
