Ethel Jean (Jeanie) Burns, 64, passed away at Hospice Savannah on Friday, July 28, 2023.

Jeanie was born in Savannah on January 5, 1959.  She was preceded in death by her father W.L. Burns, Jr., her mother Dorothy A. Barras and her brother W.L. (Wayne) Burns, III.  Jeanie was a 1978 graduate of Effingham County High School and a member of Bethesda Church.

Jeanie is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Susannah (Monte) Dixon, special sister and friend December Edwards, nieces Chasity Burns, Shannan Burns, Jayme (Justin) Click, Becca Burns, aunt Rose Marie (Susie) Davis, several cousins, uncles, great nieces and nephews and a great-great nephew.

The visitation will be on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.  The graveside funeral and burial to honor Jeanie's life will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens located at 315 Greenwich Road in Savannah.  Pastor Justin Click will officiate.  The pallbearers will be Dwayne Pack, Tripp Davis, Doug Saxon, Mason Click, and Donnie Nease.
