Eugene A. "Gene" Ansel

Sylvania- Eugene A. "Gene" Ansel, 70, died May 12, 2010 at his residence.

The New York native was an aerospace engineer and was a member of Our Lady of the
Assumption Catholic Church and St. Boniface Catholic Church. Gene was a longtime
member of the Experimental Aircraft Association and the NRA, as well as being an avid
hunter and fisherman. He loved old cars, painting, working on the farm, and his
granddaughters.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia "Ginger" Ansel of Sylvania; children, Dennis Ansel
(Tina) of Guyton, Eric Ansel (Jina) of Savannah, and Carolyn Ansel of Sylvania;
granddaughters, Mallory and McKenzie Ansel of Guyton; and nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 14, 2010 in the funeral home, with wake service at 7
p.m.

Funeral Mass: 11 am Saturday, May 15, 2010 at St. Boniface Catholic Church.

Interment: Effingham Memorial Gardens
