Guyton – Eugenia "Genie" B. Martin, 66, passed away May 18, 2022 at East GA Regional Medical Center.

The Effingham County native was formerly a volunteer fireman and a retired Nursing Assistant.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Madison Martin and Evelyn Smith Martin; grandson, Griffin Kessler; brother, Randy Martin; and brother-in-law, Leon Davis.

Survivors include her daughter, Shannon Nease Kessler (Scott); grandchildren, Kailey Kessler Skaggs (Nathan), Gracie Kessler, and Weston Kessler; sisters, Patricia Davis and Margaret McCabe (Tommy); and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, May 20, 2022 at Bethesda United Methodist Church followed by funeral services at 2 p.m.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
