Mrs. Eva Mae Baker, 72, of Bloomingdale, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at Memorial Hospital.
Eva Mae will be missed by her daughter, Eva Mae Shorter (Alvin); son, Nathaniel Ra’mon Baker; sister, Joyce Edmondson; nephews, Michael Baker, Tylan Baker, Wayne Edmondson, Jr. (Jamie), Warren Edmondson (Gina), David Dudgeon, Ernest Dudgeon, Jr., Lawrence Dudgeon; nieces, Loraine Dudgen, Joyce Dudgen, Mellissa McCoy, Janee' Watson, Tea D’Allessandris (Robert); great-nephews and nieces, Carson Edmondson, Cameron Edmondson, Caden Edmondson, Ben Morrison III, Davaughn Golden, Joshua Golden, Skylar Edmondson, Brittany Gifford, Jeanette Baker, Michael Baker, Jr., Kayleigh Baker, Kiley Baker, and Julian Baker; sisters-in-law, Robin Baker and Anetta Baker;God Children, Luke Saxon and Andy Saxon; special friends, Nancy Gordon (Sidney) and T’Keyah Sutton.
Eva Mae was born in Xenia, Ohio and traveled around the world with her husband with the military before they settled in Bloomingdale. She was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Ra’mon Baker; son, Joseph R.W. Baker; parents, William H. and Ida Mae Dudley Dudgeon; brother, Ernest Dudgeon; mother and father-in-law, Hazel and Robert Baker; brothers and sisters-in-law, Eric Baker, Steven Baker, Sandra and Richard Moss; nephews, Tyrone Baker and Robert Baker, Jr.
Eva Mae was a member of Reborn Nation Church. She and Keith were foster parents to many children. She was gifted with a beautiful voice and sang at different venues. She was an avid reader, often spending time reading the Bible. She will be remembered for being a great cook, never meeting a stranger, and for being a caring and giving person. She will be missed.
The visitation will be on Saturday, June 6, 2026 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Reborn Nation located at 6924 Highway 17 in Bloomingdale,. The funeral to honor Eva Mae’s life will follow at 11 a.m. in the sanctuary of the church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
