GARDEN CITY: Mrs. Evelyn Reese, 82, went home to sing with the Lord on Monday, February 15, 2010 at Candler Hospital.
Mrs. Reese was born in Lake City, FL to the late Daniel A. and Georgia Elsberry. She is preceded in death by her sisters, Edna Silvers and Essie Rose and brothers, Dick, Ralph, George, and Grady Elsberry. She was a member of Jasper Springs Baptist Church. She loved people and was known for her kind words and great smile.
She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, William (Bill) Reese, Jr. daughters, Janet Reese and Susan Rogers (Charles), both of Bloomingdale; grandchildren, Kendal Rogers-Cook (Johnathan) and Haley Rogers; brother, Waymon A. Elsberry of TN and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 16, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 17, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery on Dean Forest Road.
