Evelyn Trowell Tebeau
Springfield – Evelyn Trowell Tebeau, 96, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2014.
The Effingham County native was a member of First Baptist Church of Springfield where she was pianist and organist for 54 years, served on the finance committee, and was Sunday school secretary. She retired from Sun Trust Bank.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alonzo L. and Ethel Hall Trowell; and husband of 69 years, Franklin B. Tebeau.
Survivors include her sister, Louise Trowell Tebeau of Kildare; nieces, Rose Mary Tebeau of Springfield, Evelyn Graham (Carey) of Springfield, and Linn Trowell (Rudy) of California; nephews, Bobby Tebeau (Patricia) of Springfield, Billy Tebeau (Sue) of Kildare, and Clark Trowell (Joann) of California; a number of great-nieces and great-nephews; and her caregiver, Mary Thomas.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Springfield.
Interment will follow in Springfield Cemetery Annex.
Remembrances may be given to First Baptist Church of Springfield, 1435 Hwy. 119 N., Springfield, GA 31329.
