Guyton – Everett Daniel Bryant "Bud", 90, passed away June 10, 2023 at Effingham Hospital after a short illness.

The Hazelhurst native served in the U.S. Navy.  He retired from Johns Manville, enjoyed gardening, fishing, and watching westerns.  He attended Port Wentworth United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Lee Bryant and Lula Bell Hand Bryant; his first wife, Loelita Martin Bryant; his second wife, Betty Joyce Kessler Bryant; and sister, Evelyn Lewis (Vernon).

Survivors include his children, Lisa B. Mosley (Kirk) of Guyton, Anne B. Segars (John) of McDonough, GA, Tammy B. Beard (Alton) of Guyton, and Pam Towns (Daniel) of Hazelhurst, GA; step-children, Dennis Brian Cook (Karen) of Hamilton, GA and Donna Cook Gilpin (Greg) of Guyton; sister, Ruth Jones of Savannah; sister-in-law, Sharon Shealey (Bruce) of Little Rock, AR; 10 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at the funeral home followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. in the chapel.

Interment will follow in Effingham Memorial Gardens.
