Savannah-Mr. Farris Hartley, 89, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2009 at The Place
at Pooler.

Mr. Hartley was born in Dublin. He was a member of the Bloomingdale Church of the
Nazarene and he retired from Union Camp after thirty-seven years of service. He served
his country in the U.S. Navy and was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-five years,
Mary Emma Snipes Hartley.

Survivors include his son, Jimmie L. (Faye) Hartley of Savannah; three grandchildren,
Derek Hartley of Ellabell, Andrea (Anthony) Carey of Atlanta and Tim (Marie) Hartley of
Faulkville; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Inez Garnto and Marie Curry, both of Dublin
and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Funeral: 11 a.m. on Wednesday in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at
Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery on Dean Forest Road.
